简介
《南禅七日》是当年南师怀瑾在厦门南普陀寺为僧人们打禅七的时候，记录下来的一个录像的名称。把这七天的内容全部收录了下来，方便更多的人可以受教。
这个《南禅七日》庚子纪念版 ，根据网上公开的多个版本《南禅七日》整合集成，并根据相关佛学杂志和当事人回忆，在左侧提要栏和新增的简体字幕中补充信息。其实，真正完整的《南禅七日》版本至今没见到。据了解，原始版本是原始录像带刻成光盘后流传的，称光盘版，共21集。《南禅七日（基金会版）》，将原版21集内容分割为42集，并作了少量补充和删节，新旧对比如下：
1）基金会版，估计在原版或录象带母带基础上制作的，增加了妙湛法师和南师的开场白，补充了多个没有视频的录音小片断。并对原始光盘或录象带文件进行了优化处理，分辨率仍受制于录像带的本来质量，但声音更丰满，画面更清晰了一些。
2）原版21集和基金会版48集内容一致，基版2集对应原版1集的内容。两种版本都缺少了第七天晚上的报告 ，即南师与出家人单独交流的音视频内容，至今未见公开；只有个别当事人零星而模糊的回忆。
3）基金会版本删除了原版第21集尾部内容，用新编”聚散“歌曲代替。
4）基金会版本第29、30集（不限于）中删除了部分行香过程。5）基金会版第18集前16分种，是对其第17集中张商英故事的完全重复。6）基金会版第38集尾部只有声音，删除了50 秒的图像，而原版完整。7）原版第10集中，第5、14分钟处，有严重的噪声和图像扭曲，而基金会版正常。《纪念版》参考多个版本的《南禅七日》文件进行择优整合，左侧增加内容提要，左侧上方增加当前状态栏，显示禅七的天数、讲次数，以及原版与基金会版的当前集数，供对比。右侧是分辩率为352288像素的原始光盘录像。底部增加最新整理的简体字幕，基金会版中补充的录音片断也转换成字幕显示。视频力求完整，符合史实，所辑内容包括了基金会42集《南禅七日》、21集光盘原版（VCD、DVD4碟装、6碟装、9碟装），以及称为清晰版、高清版的各种 Rm、flv、mp4的内容。在保证原始音画质量的前提下，分辩率扩展为640360像素的宽屏模式，仍然按原版的21集方式制作。
